General Update v30

I plan to attend the 2026 Texas Linux Fest this November. It'll be in the same location as last year, which thankfully is not down town Austin. I'm looking forward to the event and meeting up with any CozyNet blog readers too, as well as any friends that decide to go!

Fake images polluting eBay, Craigslist, Zillow, etc...

Before I start, I want to clarify that I'm mostly writing about second hand stuff and resell where real images of items and their condition are important. I've been seeing a trend on e-commerce sites and the like where falsified images of items listed for sale are being used to conceal their true condition.

Last Saturday I went to a farmers market to help a friend of mine. I haven't been to a farmers market since I was a kid, so it was an interesting experience. This one seemed much more organized than the ones I remember, seeing how everyone had a fold out cover tent, tables, and food trucks.

Despite not writing much this past week, I have been keeping busy. Most of it is either personal or mundane in nature, which I prefer to keep off the blog, however the past week has been good!

Despite being a day of rest, Sunday was a busy day for me, albeit an enjoyable one. Shortly after having my breakfast, I put on some shoes and went traipsing out into the barn to search for the old window casements I replaced. Since I couldn't find any aluminum tracks matching for a conventional wood window anywhere, I figured my only choice was to salvage the old ones.

This is just a journal post of random things going on, and also a good excuse to try out my snazzy new RSS feed generator! I'm sure there's some improvements that could be made to it, but in the meantime I won't know until I try it out under different situations.

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally made an RSS feed generator for CozyNet! That's right, I don't have to manually copy stuff over into a feed index file anymore!

Well I'm happy to say that I've finally perfected (at least enough to my standards) my window frame making technique! It's taken a long time to finally get here, but hopefully it'll pay off.

General Update v29

The months of July and August felt like they flew right by me! They've been especially hot and dry too, which is common for the area this time of year. My yard is crispy dry and dead, meaning I haven't had to mow ever since my last general update blog post, I believe.

Monday and Tuesday have been mildly busy days for me. Monday was a wedding shower for another friend of mine, which He'll be getting married this weekend. I feel like I've been writing about weddings every week now!

Last Friday night I spent time learning how to make my own Churros! Since I was already making my own tortillas for tacos, I was inspired to make Churros for dessert too.
